Domain Termination and Cancellation
Voluntary Cancellation
You may cancel your domain name registration at any time through your Client Portal. Please note:
- No Refunds: Domain registration fees are non-refundable, even if cancelled before the registration period ends
- Grace Period: After cancellation, the domain enters a deletion process and may not be immediately available for re-registration
- Data Removal: Upon cancellation, your WHOIS information and DNS records will be removed
Involuntary Termination
ServerPoint may terminate or suspend a domain registration under the following circumstances:

- Domains not renewed before expiration will enter the deletion process

3. Inaccurate WHOIS Information
Under ICANN rules, we may suspend domains with:
- False or inaccurate contact information
- Failure to respond to WHOIS verification requests
4. Legal Requirements
Domains may be suspended or cancelled due to:
- Court orders
- UDRP/URS decisions (see Dispute Resolution)
- Law enforcement requests
- Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
5. Abuse Reports
Domains used for illegal activities, spam, phishing, or malware distribution may be suspended immediately.
Process After Termination
- Suspension: Domain stops resolving but remains in your account
- Deletion Request: Domain is queued for deletion
- Pending Delete: Domain is removed from the registry
- Available: Domain may become available for general registration (timing varies by TLD)
Appeal Process
If you believe your domain was terminated in error, please open a support ticket through the Client Portal within 15 days of the termination notice.
